These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ServeTogether (the “Service”), a volunteer scheduling and communication platform for churches and religious organizations. The Service is operated by Easthill Security and Network Services (“ServeTogether”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service is offered to churches and religious organizations (each, a “Church”) and to individuals authorized by a Church to coordinate volunteers (each, a “Coordinator”). By signing up, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to act on behalf of your Church.
Coordinators are responsible for: keeping account credentials secure; the accuracy of information entered into the Service, including volunteer contact details; obtaining appropriate consent from volunteers before adding their phone numbers or email addresses; and using the Service only for the lawful purposes of coordinating their Church's volunteer activities.
The Service can send text messages (SMS) to volunteers about their scheduled service, including reminders, substitute requests, and confirmations. These messages are sent on behalf of the Church.
Consent. When a Coordinator adds a volunteer to the Service with a phone number, the Coordinator represents that the volunteer has consented to receive SMS messages from the Church via the Service. ServeTogether does not collect SMS consent directly from volunteers; that consent is collected by the Church.
Opt-out. Volunteers may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, or STOPALL to any message. Opt-outs are honored across the platform; a volunteer who opts out will not receive further SMS through the Service from any Church until they opt back in by replying START.
Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates from the recipient's mobile carrier may apply. ServeTogether does not charge volunteers for receiving messages.
Help. For help, recipients may reply HELP or contact their Church's Coordinator. Volunteers may also contact ServeTogether at the address in Section 12.
The Church remains the controller of volunteer information entered into the Service. ServeTogether acts as a processor of that information on the Church's instructions. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree not to use the Service to:
New Churches may use the Service free of charge for a trial period. After the trial, continued use may be subject to fees, which we will communicate before they apply. Fees, if any, are non-refundable except as required by law.
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ServeTogether and Easthill Security and Network Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued access poses a risk to the Service or to other users. We will provide reasonable notice where practical.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify Coordinators by email or through the Service. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky.
